Today's a day to remember!

Because I slept too much today, I'll have to compensate the guilt by doing things up until the wee hours of morning. :( Not very often do I get to sleep until lunch hour, heheh. It was due to the weather, the wind to be exact! First time experiencing such stuff so I stayed indoors safely with a bird that smacked onto my window, yikes for the sudden "thuuummphh" sound!

"Scottish travel alert after red warning of 80mph winds"
{The weather alert covers Central, Tayside, Fife, Strathclyde, south west Scotland, Lothian and the Borders.

There could be gusts of over 80mph in exposed places in the areas affected.

Transport Minister Keith Brown said it was predicted to peak around the evening rush hour and advised commuters who could leave work early to do so.

The Met Office has issued its highest level of warning over severe winds expected to affect much of central and southern Scotland from 10:00 on Thursday until 06:00 on Friday.}-

There's a really recent entry in Wikipedia regarding this in Wikipedia. Instead of normal hurricane names, The Scottish named the hurricane which was part of the disaster as "Hurrican Bawbag"! Ermm?

From Urban Dictionary:
"Bawbag - Glasgow, Scotland origin, derogitary name given to one who is annoying, useless or just plain stupid. To compare one with such an ugly part of the male anatomy should be insult enough..."

From Wikipedia;
{Hurricane Bawbag is the colloquial name given to a storm that passed over areas of the United Kingdom, mainly Scotland, during the week beginning 5 December 2011. On 8 December, winds reached up to 165 mph (265 km/h) which resulted in closure of many roads, bridges, schools and businesses.

On 7 December, the Met Office issued a red weather warning—its highest warning—and said there would be significant risk of structural damage. Police advised the public not to travel, and the Tay, Forth and Erskine bridges were closed to all traffic. As a result of the weather, many universities, schools and nurseries were closed. Public transport was also affected; many trains were cancelled or switched to a limited service, with buses running in place of trains due to line problems}
