Goodbye 2011.

Every blogger is doing the "last post of 2011", and sad for me to say this at the wrong time, "There isn't much time left for studying!", which explains the hiatus throughout the week. -_-" Come to think of it, there IS always not enough time no matter how much time is given. Humans and their procastination zzz. I think Huei-Wen's going to laugh at me because originally I was telling her "yay I have more than two weeks for studying! ^o^" and here I am, struggling to finish chapter after chapter until last night I have to BEG hubby to kick my lazy ass whenever I start slacking... like right now!

Recap of the year.
  1. Received a huge bouquet of 99 roses on Valentine's.   ♪(┌・。・)┌
  2. Went Genting Highlands for my birthday!    \(@O@)/
  3. Gotten closer with a pisces and now she's my favourite friend, Sweetie Bubu.  〜(^∇^〜)
  4. Adopted a little kitten~ ((ミ´ω`ミ))
  5. My favourite hamster passed away.  ヽ(*´Д`*)ノ
  6. Failed attempt of clubbing on hubby's 21st birthday, but memories are to be treasured.(≧0≦)
  7. Came to Scotland for studies.  (;¬д¬)
  8. Stayed in the hostel with first-timer Ai Ly; we both make good housemates, whee~  (;^_^)ノ o(~_~;*)
  9. Learnt the horrible sides of people when they start showing their true colours.  (●-`Д´-)ノ
  10. Can't believe I went to LONDON.  \(^ω^\)
  11. Bought my dream perfume, Viva La Juicy!  ヾ(*´∇`)ノ

2011 has been pretty good, thanks to my caring family who became more lenient and understanding, my friends who will never choose sides, and my hubby who have to put up with this "evil woman" aka his lovely wifey. ^O^ It has been a very well spent year I would say..

I've confessed a lie that I had been living, and it felt great that the other half actually understands and could see through me before I even confess, wow. :X

This year I felt like 9GAG brought me to a world of colours. Especially all the memes I've came across. My favourite is "F*ck Yea Guy". I love how he brings an epic end to everything. :D Like the one below, happy new year! :)

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (時をかける少女 Toki o Kakeru Shōjo). A very good animation movie I would recommend to everyone. Movie left me with mixed feelings and no wonder, this movie won so many awards. ;___; Those who have time to spare during New Year eve, do watch this because it's a good film not to be missed!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Recently I was infected by a really terrible sore throat. At first it was just a normal sore throat, painful and dry, then slowly I realised there was blood in my phlegm and saliva. Honestly I was scared and being the usual me, paranoid for no reason since this was the first time I've experienced such thing. No one's going to go to the pharmacy for me, it's extremely cold and raining outside, plus I just got slight fever last night so I'm not taking any chances for now. So what else is there to be done, than to stick by natural remedies... that actually work!!

1. Drink plenty of water (pretty common but you've got to stick to it!)
2. Honey and Lemon juice (I drink three times a day)
3. Gargle salt water in the morning and night
4. This might sound gross.. but NEVER swallow back your phlegm! Hence the amount of tissue I've used..

Three days and I'm recovering FAST from a terrible sore throat. :)) No lozenges hehe! Just natural remedies that really WORK. ;D

26th December - Happy Boxing Day! As in a really happy Boxing Day I had. Friends went all out to buy clothes as early as 7a.m., I'm no exception too, except my aim wasn't clothes, it was to hunt for perfume! I didn't head to town without doing any research, kinda checked online the night before for Malaysia's price to compare with the after-sales price. :P

"Boxing Day is traditionally a day following Christmas when wealthy people in the United Kingdom would give a box containing a gift to their servants."

"A woman's perfume tells more about her than her handwriting." - Christian Dior

I know someone who has a crazy collection of perfume, Melody Chong. :P

1. Vera Wang *Princess*

I held onto this on an impulse. I was reconsidering it because half my heart wanted the other bigger bottle but I wanted to try this perfume stick that came with it. Then when I turned around, omg the rack was empty, I just kinda stared blankly wondering where had all the gift sets gone, until a lady startled me.. by asking me if I still want mine. =.=" Wow, made me cling onto mine tighter. :P

Threw this box away although it was really pretty... because it was the biggest and more "jor guai deng" of all. Don't think I want to carry a box in my luggage. =.=

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

2. Anna Sui *4ml collection*

I once had a dilemma when choosing the one I love the most, long ago when Avril and I met up in Malaysia. After that I came to know the existence of the 5ml collection, but again the Malaysian price makes my heart waver. WHO CARES now it's finally mine. ;)

*My favourite scent is "Forbidden Affair". :)

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

3. Harajuku Lovers *MUSIC Wicked Style*

Jessica could read my mind that my main aim of this shopping trip was actually to get myself one of Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers fragrance. Sadly there was only one selection available, but I still remember what scent I like the most, "music" and "love". ;) Yay luckily the one and only selection on the rack was "music", so gladly I took it with me.

*Got this for £10.25, which is only RM51.25.. I'm exposing this price only, hehe.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

4. Juicy Couture *Viva La Juicy*

The best deal ever.. and sort of a dream come true when I held the bottle. This was the first gift set I took and I never even turned back. I had always wanted this for a long time (Meow said I sound so pitiful), but back in Malaysia one bottle itself is RM300++. Guess what? I got this set for LESS than half the price.:))

Hopefully everyone will be happy for me and not think I am bragging or something negative. I like what Avril commented in Facebook, "waaaa...jillian seems like you buy more things there than in malaysia :P"... Yes of course, everyone around me know that I am extremely incredibly super cheapskate in Malaysia because I always believe that I can get the same thing for a cheaper price.

And yes now I can!!!!

While typing this post, I'm having a warm bowl of instant miso soup, awww. Added three pieces of seaweed myself. ^o^ Mmmmm, super delicious...

How many of you all can remember this song and from which Shrek movie? ;) Btw this is my favourite sound track of all.

Festive Season.

Celebrated Winter Solstice the next day I returned from London with friends, which so happen was on a Christmas eve. How special, heehee. Hand made Tangyuan with ginger syrup. Not perfect but still, a warm steamy bowl reminds me of home. :') At home I may complain at the slightest dissatisfaction, but now I'm just satisfied with everything. :)

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Wooo am I lucky or what?! Coursemates decided to have pot luck on 25th December, most importantly there was a turkey. *__* I have to admit when I stood by the dining table, Harry must have did a good job in grilling the turkey because I couldn't take my eyes off the delicious looking large poultry bird.

P.S: Mashed potatoes made by the boys were so gooood, I took big lumps and a couple of rounds, might have been greedy but.. it's a compliment to the chef. :P

Meanwhile, I am addicted to this song, the singer Jessie Malakouti is pretty! +__+ Lyrics may be a little sick but I like the beat. :P

"You want a tough white boy
Well I got dick like Marlon Brando
(Heh, that's good to know
But can you push it back and forth?)"

What the? Lol.

Merry Christmas to all! :) I may be a little late according to Malaysia time but better late than never aite?

Here are my christmas presents. ;) Fur scarf from UNIQLO, thank you hubby, it's really warm and pretty. We countdown according to Glasgow's midnight and opened our presents together. Whee~ So much fun. :D

I mentioned to him before that I was jealous of Jessica having photos of her and her bf, Ting on the wall. :'( So I thought maybe next time when I go back Malaysia I'll print them myself too. However, bi was so thoughtful he has already planned everything and sent it over. Wheee so happy! ^^

You guys can read [here] on what I gave him. ;) It was indeed a wonderful time to pass my Christmas eve.

London Made Me Grew A Little.

Originally planned a trip to London on Christmas, but then there will be a strike on 26th, I'm afraid of the inconvenience and I didn't know all shops will be close on Christmas, so we went for a 3 days 2 nights trip on 21st.

Anyway, this trip was a rather.. meaningful one. I have learnt to look at people in different ways, I felt like I've grown a little (good job to myself), as I tell myself, I've gotta be more independent and stay strong with my decision until the end. Honestly I wasn't really happy throughout the entire trip, but blimeyyy, it's the ups and downs that create the unforgettable memories so shan't complain anymore! ;D

Thank you and hello LONDON! Time to get the photos rollin'!

One of my favourite blogger I have been following since two years ago in 2009 was just recently engaged. Audrey of fourfeetnine, the Ayumi Hamasaki look-alike and her 'wtf'(s).. is engaged to Timothy, co-founder of Nuffnang. :') Honestly I cried a little when I watched this video. Don't believe? Ask the 9GAGers. Plus a great song choice, "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.

I suddenly get inspired to try some photoshop actions when I scrolled down some of my friend's photos. Probably because I haven't taken any good shots these days. She's a pretty good photographer, this I must compliment. Well, let me tell you how I define a good photographer, in my own opinion and words. :X

*1*
Doesn't blame bad photos on the camera they use.
*2*
Can manipulate angles and capture anything perfectly even if there are obstacles.

*3*
Able to take first or at least second shot with satisfaction.

.. and stop blaming on other obstacles. Like the tree, someone passing by, street lamppost or.. any other things that so happen to be in the way! I hope to maintain the idealism that photography is "turning imperfection into perfection". :X Well I admit I'm not really good yet but still keen to learn! :)

#1 - The pigeons in Glasgow are effin' cute and fat! Feels like a puff ball when it sits there quietly even when humans approach it. Be careful my dear feather friends as you can't trust all humans.

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

#2 - Just look at how FAT and fluffed up they are, especially the one at the most right. He probably ate so much like a pig to keep himself warm during winter. :P So there goes the idea of my title!

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

#3 - Friends baked butter cake, got burnt, cut off the burnt layer, went out to buy cream and chocolate candies, final product, perfect. ;)
Birthday girl said: "The cake is so pretty! I haven't seen anything like this before!" .. without knowing what was the original product. Plan succeeded! XD

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*

#4 - Such a precious moment was captured, and this should have been the birthday girl's profile photo! Her boyfriend sent roses all the way from Malaysia, they did not wilt as it was pre-packed with water and fertilizer I suppose? ;)

#3

If you still haven't guess it, the 4th one is pretty obvious and I will knock your head if you don't get it!
My beloved Harry Potter. Platform 9 3/4. I will see you soon! :)

#4

Can't believe the destination where the train will reach is King's Cross Station. Oh, my beloved Harry Potter and the famous platform 9 3/4. I will see you soon! :'))))

I've been watching the entire series of Harry Potter for a few nights, how I wish to live in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. T__T But one can only dream, like the rest of Harry Potter fans.

P.S: Anyone wants to meet up?

They were sent on the spot through my recently downloaded Whatsapp to my hubby with love! :) Just wanted to show him what a shopping day is every weekend. Purposely edited it until like that because the original is really like shit. x__x

The same thing happened a year ago, and now it's happening again. Why people always think that they can do anything to you once they come into your comfort zone? Sien.

To a certain someone,

.... and finally.
